Not moving

We didn't make it the whole way in one day, due to the stress of packing, cleaning, moving, as well as the naturally exhausting side-effects of being crazy. So, we finally collapsed in Hatch, UT. I told (asked) Wonderman (the lead driver) to just pull over at the next cheap-looking motel we passed. Thus, the random selection of Hatch. It was a great little town where people were friendly and it was cool enough to walk to the diner for breakfast at ten in the morning. Aaah, this is what summer is supposed to feel like.We stayed at a great motel that was simply called Motel as far as I can tell.
It was small, but clean (aside from the one centipede that Wonderman found crawling on the carpet when we first got in the room), and just what we needed - a place to sleep.

Long Lonely Drive

These are landscapes taken from the driver's side of a car moving at 60 mph. Hey, it's not art if you don't take risks, right?

Why would moving be stressful?

Let's just say that somehow I fail to apply all the things I've learned over the years about beginning the packing early. Sigh. However, it did get done and we have all our belongings either in the storage unit cooking slowly or in my mother's basement making us crazy.

It used to look some homey (read: cluttered). Ah well, we are gone. And I'll actually miss it. Strange, I know, after all my griping about Arizona. Still, it was home.
